About Mrs. Berg
Hello! My name is Heather Berg and I am very excited to start my first year at Valley-Edinburg as the 7-12 School Counselor/Career Development! I have 12 years of experience in the counseling/CTE world and am looking forward to bringing a great program to VE. I am originally from Valley City and graduated from VCHS in 2004. I finished my Bachelor's and Master's Degrees at NDSU in 2008 & 2011. I spend much of my work day teaching classroom guidance lessons, helping students on an individual basis, helping high school students with career/college planning...and much more!
I live in Park River, ND with my husband, Jonathan and our three kids: Brielle (7), Kennedy (4), and Lincoln (1 year). They sure keep us busy and on our toes! My husband teaches math and coaches girls' basketball at Park River Area High School. I enjoy spending time with my families back in my hometown of Valley City, ND and Aberdeen, SD. If I ever get free time I like to catch a good movie (complete with popcorn and Dew!), read/listen to books, and go for walks along the bike paths in town.
