About Ms. Kennelly
My name is Emily Kennelly, and I am super pumped to be teaching 6th grade this year! After I graduated from Mayville State University with my Bachelor's in Elementary Education degree, I taught 6th grade in Grafton, ND, for one year. I then spent this past year at the Life Skills and Transition Center, where I worked with the behavioral health team. I decided to come back to the classroom after realizing I've truly missed creating that safe and enjoyable space for middle schoolers (and myself!) to learn about themselves and others and to grow academically, socially, and emotionally. In my free time, I spend a lot of time watching Toronto Bluejays baseball, being outside, and volunteering my time for groups like the St. Thomas Daze Committee and Grafton BIO Girls. This year, I am most excited to explore and foster growth in some of those lifelong skills, like emotional intelligence, empathy, and problem solving!
